On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, UNS Gas, Inc. ("UNSG" or "Company") filed a request(link is external) with the Arizona Corporation Commission ("ACC" or "Commission") seeking approval of a temporary Purchased Gas Adjustor ("PGA") credit adjustment of $0.045 per therm.

The requested PGA credit adjustment will mitigate the impact of the Company's pending rate increase by refunding overcollections for purchased gas that have been paid for by the Company's ratepayers.

On Monday, March 5, 2011, RUCO filed an Application to Intervene(link is external) in the matter (RUCO is an intervenor in the underlying UNSG rate case).

On Thursday, March 8, 2012 an Administrative Law Judge ("ALJ") from the ACC's Hearing Division issued a notification(link is external) granting RUCO's request to intervene.

On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, ACC Staff filed a Proposed Order(link is external) that recommends approval of UNSG.'s request for a temporary Purchased Gas Adjustor ("PGA") credit adjustment of $0.045 per therm.

On Tuesday April 17, 2012, ACC Staff filed  a copy of Attachment 1(link is external) to the Proposed Order which had been omitted from the original filing.

Comments on the Proposed Order were due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012.

During the Regular Open Meeting held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the five ACC Commissioners approved the Proposed Order by a vote of 5-0.
