Case Information

On Tuesday, October 12, 2010, Arizona Water Company ("AWC" or "Company") filed anapplication with the Arizona Corporation Commission ("ACC" or "Commission") seeking authority to implement a Step-1 Arsenic Cost Recovery Mechanism surcharge for its consolidated Verde Valley system pursuant to Decision No. 71845, dated August 25, 2010.  On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 AWC filed an amendment to the Company's Application.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2010, RUCO filed a report on its audit of the ACRM filing. RUCO is recommending a surcharge of $0.28 to the monthly minimum charge and $0.0418 per 1,000 gallons to the commodity rate.

On Wednesday, May 4, 2011, ACC Staff filed a Proposed Order on the matter recommending that the Commission only adopt a Step-One ACRM surcharge for the Company's Sedona system only.

On Tuesday, May 24, 2011, the five sitting ACC Commissioners voted to adopt ACC Staff's Proposed Order.
